1. How should I contact Abacus to file my income tax return?

The office is located 5757 Flewellen Oaks Ln Unit 501 in Fulshear, Texas.

2. What do I need to bring to my tax appointment?

Getting organized for your appointment is frequently the most difficult step. Note, that not all categories listed on the document will apply to you, but it’s a good idea to print and read each item to make sure you are not overlooking any document that may be important. 3. What is e-filing?

E-filing lets your transfer your tax information from the Abacus computer to the IRS, because we are an IRS authorized e-file provider. The advantage of this is, the IRS instantly receives your income taxes with fewer errors, because the IRS does not need to re-enter your information into its system. If you expect a refund, you will receive your refund in 20 days or less.

4. Do I work with U.S. citizens and resident aliens who live abroad?

Yes, I have many clients who live and work overseas in several countries.  Lately, because of IRS notifications in local publications, I have been working with a number of U.S. citizens who live in Canada.

5. How much do you charge?

My fees are reasonable and are based on the number of IRS Forms that I must complete as well as the complexity of those Forms.  Please contact me and I will be glad to give you a “ballpark” number after I learn more about your situation.

6. Until what day can I submit my personal income taxes without penalty?

The IRS will begin accepting individual electronic returns on Tuesday, January 19th 2016. The filing deadline to submit 2015 Tax return is Monday, April 18th 2016.

7. When is the due date for corporation income taxes?

Domestic corporations must file for 1120, 1120s by the 15th of March.

8. What is and who needs an Individual Tax Identification Number (ITIN)?

The ITIN is a tax processing number, issued by the internal revenue service, it is a 9-digit number that always begins with the number 9. IRS issues ITINs to individuals who are required to have a US taxpayer identification number, but who do not have, or are not eligible to obtain a social security number from the Social Security Administration. ITINs are issued regardless of immigration statues, because both resident and non-resident aliens may have a US filing or reporting requirement under the IRS code.

9. How do I notify the IRS my address has changed?

Fill out and send 8822, with your signature, to the address where you filed your last return.
